how do you measure "big"?

One of our fathers in the faith once said, “My goal is not to build a big church, but to build big people” (Bill Johnson). Our cultural beliefs include the foundation that every person is powerful and significant.

We are empowered when we walk in our God-given identity. We are who he says we are, not who our past, our poor decisions, or our emotions want to identify us as. Simply put, God believes in us more than we believe in ourselves. Jesus also wants to talk to us more than we want to listen. Our lack of listening is not necessarily being rebellious; rather we don’t “quiet” ourselves enough to listen.

I was recently convicted when I saw my screen time notification come across my phone. I heard Jesus say, “Will you give me a tithe of that time you are on your phone?" Ouch!

Declare with me the words of Ephesians 2:10 (NLT): “I am God’s masterpiece. He has created me anew in Christ Jesus, so I can do the things He planned for me a long time ago."

In His Power,
Pastor Steve
