Overcoming The Wall
This past Sunday, in our Emotionally Healthy Spirituality series, we talked about Journeying Through The Wall.
The Wall being described as a trial, suffering, or even The Dark Night of the Soul.
Pete Scazzero states that every believer will face The Wall at least once in their lifetime and perhaps more. The Bible talks much about suffering, a subject that’s not too popular among Western Churches.
However, we must be equipped to face “wall seasons” in our lives otherwise we won’t know what to do to overcome them.
If you didn’t listen to my message from last Sunday please do so and even better, make sure you attend our 8 week class where we go in depth on the topics we are covering.
Two other tools that I want to equip you with in overcoming The Wall are Silence and Stillness. Quieting our soul by intentionally having some alone time with Jesus allows for our soul to heal and be refreshed in every season of our lives let alone wall seasons.
Allowing ourselves to hear His voice through stillness, turning off the noisemakers and encountering His presence is a game changer and is especially needed during trials we face.
Practice His presence friend. Stay still until you encounter His manifest presence, where you know that God is in the room with you and simply enjoy Him! We were made for such encounters!
