Thankful for you
Last Sunday I presented our annual Financial Report during service. I highlighted how we have been blessed to be able to use the interest from the sell of our property to assist in church expenses.
The downside of this is without that interest, we would be way off in meeting our budget. I want to reiterate the importance of our tithe and giving. We don’t give to “pay the bills”.
We give as an act of faith, obedience, and worship. It is a joy to give to the Lord and God looks for and loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7).
If you have yet to step into the practice of regular tithing and giving (tithing is giving 10% of our income, giving is anything above 10%) I encourage you to prayerfully take that step and trust God to do more with your 90% than you could do with 100%.
There is a freedom and health to our finances when we become generous givers. It’s a Kingdom principle. It’s simply impossible to outgive God!
