Believing Big
We are entering the last week of our fast together and our focus is “Cultural Transformation in Our Region”.
In Acts 17:6, those living in Thessalonica said of the early church Christians, “Those who have turned the world upside down have com here also.”
What a powerful statement and testimony! The reputation of these early followers of Jesus had gone before them as cultural transformers. They weren’t just holding nice church meetings, they were changing the world.
That is our task now in the 21st Century and it seems like a tall one, except we don’t do this in our own strength or might, we do it by the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through us.
We do it by having a vibrant personal and corporate prayer life that seizes the atmosphere of the region we live in.
We transform culture by having Heaven’s culture alive in us so we have something to give to those we come in contact with.
We do this by colabouring with Jesus as He is at work in our neighbors, communities, work places, and families.
Let’s pray BIG prayers that require Him to move in BIG ways and let’s be willing to be the feet to our prayers and go where God sends us each day looking to advance the Kingdom!
